Philanthropy

As a community-minded company, The Shauger Group, Inc. is deeply committed to devoting its time, energy, talented workforce, and resources for the betterment of the community we serve. As a responsible corporate citizen, our philosophy is based upon the notion that giving back is a vital component to help us continue to prosper and grow.

Giving Back to Our New Jersey Community and Beyond

The Shauger Group firmly believes in the importance of giving back to the community for the betterment of the community at large. Proudly keeping philanthropy and service at the heart of its core mission, The Shauger Group serves the community through donations, in-kind services, and fundraising efforts, as well as by hosting events, initiating community service programs, and providing volunteers for charitable organizations.

The Shauger Group frequently donates to countless charities and fundraisers, which have included the American Heart Association, Newark Housing Authority Scholarship Fund, United Negro College Fund, Susan G. Komen, WomenRising, Christopher Brandle Joy of Life Foundation, and East Orange Education Foundation.

Our Community is the Lifeblood of Shauger Group

The Shauger Group has consistently donated its company resources, experienced personnel, and equipment to various service projects and charities, including nonprofits such as the Apostles’ House, an emergency shelter for homeless families in Newark. The Shauger Group has helped spearhead two “extreme makeover” renovations of the Apostles’ House since 2007, the most recent of which took place in 2017 and included US Senator for New Jersey Cory Booker. The Shauger Group regularly raises funds for the Timothy Groves Memorial Scholarship, which was established by Donald and Lisa Shauger within the West Orange Scholarship Fund (WOSF) in memory of former West Orange police officer Timothy Groves and benefits students in financial need who are committed to community service.

How We Help

Partnerships That Make a Difference

The Shauger Group and Shauger family have also teamed up with former NFL punter Steve Weatherford to spearhead many initiatives, including a donation of one thousand smoke detectors to needy families; a luncheon to acknowledge emergency responders who saved lives during Hurricane Sandy; Thanksgiving turkey donations to families in need; and Project Prom, an annual project created to help students to overcome adversity. The Shauger Group has received countless awards and acknowledgments for the company’s philanthropic contributions to society.
