TSG Attends 98th Annual League of Municipalities Conference
November 22, 2013
From November 18th to the 21st, The Shauger Group participated as exhibitors in the 98th Annual League of Municipalities Conference held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Every year, the conference serves as a forum in which businesses and organizations throughout the State of New Jersey can showcase their services.
The Shauger Group, participants in the League of Municipalities Conference for over a decade, makes use of this opportunity to give general information about the company, discuss the services performed by the group’s subsidiary companies, and display recent projects performed.
At this year’s conference, visitors to The Shauger Group’s booth were able to meet senior management and operations personnel, as well as marketing and media staff. Present were Donald Shauger, Executive Vice President; Herman Shauger, Vice President of Business Development; Matthew Mulligan, Vice President of Operations; Darryl Jeffries, Public Relations Specialist; and Alexandra Gakos, Social Media Marketing Writer.
The booth featured a twenty minute-long presentation about the company, complete with video clips from recent projects, including the Treetop Adventure Course, an adventure course and zip line recently reconstructed after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the original course, and the Prehistoric Park, a playground resembling an archaeological fossil dig, both located at the South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange, NJ.
The presentation included an overview of The Shauger Group’s services in both the public and private sectors. The Shauger Group performs a variety of public projects, including those for municipalities, counties, public schools, and the State of New Jersey. Private sector jobs include work on condominium communities, retail/shopping centers, and commercial/office spaces.
The Shauger Group, a family environment with a hands-on management approach, employs a staff of over 150 employees. The Shauger Group’s experienced personnel include machine operators, carpenters, masons, painters, landscapers, and laborers, as well as office staff and management. Its main facility in East Orange, NJ houses a professional machine and vehicle repair shop, which services and maintains over 100 pieces of Shauger-owned equipment.
With customer satisfaction and appreciation always its first priority, The Shauger Group kept conference-goers happy with a plethora of giveaways, including mugs, lunchboxes, and emery boards. Visitors who dropped by the booth also were encouraged to leave their business cards for a chance to win two luxury suite tickets to a New Jersey Devils game.
“It was wonderful to see many of our loyal customers at the conference,” said Lisa Shauger, President of The Shauger Group. “We are so grateful to them, and we enjoy every opportunity we get to thank them in person for their continued business and support. And, of course, we look forward every year to meeting new people who stop by our booth and inquire about our services.”
The Shauger Group thanks all of its customers and interested visitors who stopped by its booth at this year’s conference. It was a pleasure to speak to each and every one of you!
