TSG Fully Prepared as More Snowfall is Expected
February 28, 2014
After a particularly overwhelming winter for residents of the Northeast, any new mention of the words “snow,” “polar vortex,” and “Arctic blast” may be eliciting reactions of frustration at this point. The number of snow events of this winter season is staggering, and the amount of snowfall is of almost-historic proportions.
We have had thirty inches of snowfall so far this February, and we are on the brink of hitting all-time season snowfall records from as far back as the nineteenth century.
In fact, only seven times in the past 130 years has the Northeast faced sixty inches of snow by March 1st.
With the potential of yet another major snowstorm on the horizon, we at The Shauger Group are ready for whatever amount of snowfall and precipitation comes during Monday’s storm. Although meteorologists are still uncertain as to the snowfall numbers for that storm, estimates have been hovering around approximately twelve inches for our area.
Should we get a foot of snow on Monday, we will have gotten over seventy inches this winter.
Whatever Monday may bring, not only are our personnel and our 200 pieces of company-owned equipment prepared, but we are fully stocked up with rock salt and calcium chloride. As always, we are rested and ready to serve municipalities, boards of education, shopping centers, private town house communities, and every other one of our valued customers.
We urge all of our customers and friends to exercise extreme caution during this trying winter season and to not take any unnecessary risks, especially during State of Emergencies and commutes.
