Our Over 40 Years of Delivering Excellence

A family-owned and operated contracting company, The Shauger Group, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Lisa and Donald Shauger. 

Lisa Shauger, President/CEO of The Shauger Group, was born in East Orange, New Jersey, the third generation of her family to call East Orange home. Donald Shauger, Executive Vice President of The Shauger Group, was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in West Orange, New Jersey—or raised by West Orange, as Donald always proudly says. Raised by a single mother who worked hard to care for Donald and his four siblings, Donald learned from his childhood not only what it means to face difficult challenges in life, but also to overcome adversity. A meaningful example: today, as a result of Lisa and Donald’s vision and drive, The Shauger Group’s headquarters now stands at the site of the very same ShopRite grocery store at which Donald and his family shopped in Donald’s youth—where they used to pay with food stamps.
